What to Expect

Student council is a student driven organization in which members get involved in both school related and community oriented activities. Student council provides an abundance of opportunities for students to be more involved in the school. Throughout the year, the club members delve into numerous community service projects and take lead on a variety of school related events.

Elections

The club votes for a president, vice president, secretary, and treasury officers at the May meeting. 

Officer Positions

President: Leads meetings, helps organize activities, and explains activities of the club to members and the public.

Vice President: Assists and steps in for the president in their absence. 

Secretary: Takes minutes, attendance, and assists the president with emails to the school office about club information/announcements. 

Treasurer: Records sales and notifies the club of the current budget. 

Rules

  • Must be passing all classes
  • Actively participate in projects and fundraisers
  • Respectful of teachers, club members and school rules 
  • The President and Vice President shall have been a previous officer of the student council, must be in grade 11 or 12, and shall be elected by the council body.
