The Goliad Tigers golf team wrapped up a milestone season on Tuesday, May 6, competing at the UIL State Tournament for the first time in school history.
Over the two-day event, the team posted a combined score of 718. On Day 1, the Tigers shot a team total of 362, led by Evan Salge with an 88. Payton Foss and Greyson Wright each carded a 91, followed by Gavin Hoefling (92) and Tobe Ellisor (95).
The Tigers improved on Day 2, finishing with a 356. Tobe Ellisor paced the team with an impressive 82, while Payton Foss followed with an 85. Rounding out the day’s scores were Evan Salge (93), Greyson Wright (96), and Gavin Hoefling (99).
The appearance marks a historic achievement for the Goliad golf program and sets a strong foundation for future success.
