What to Expect 

  • Teaching the younger Jr. Spanish club how to speak and interact in Spanish, as well as spreading awareness of Hispanic culture to our community. 
  • Participating in fundraisers 
  • School trash pick up as a club 
  • Participate in community events 

Elections 

  • At the end of the year during our May Mandatory Meeting, for each club member to either nominate and vote for our next president, vice president, secretary, treasury, and Jr. Spanish club planner officers. 

Officer Positions

  • President: Is in charge of the meetings, participates in fundraisers, manages shirt ideas, helps put together the events both inside and outside the club, and lastly communicates with other club members.
  • Vice President: Takes leadership when president is unavailable, and assists the president in events, meetings, and extracurricular activities. 
  • Secretary: Provides support to ensure the club’s operations run accordingly, writes down club agendas, does the minutes, and takes notes of each meeting. 
  • Treasurer: Controls the club’s funds, both its collection and distribution, collects members dues, and maintains accurate financial records.   
  • Jr. Spanish Club Planners: Comes up with the ideas and activities for the younger Jr. Spanish club members, so they participate as they learn Spanish. 

Rules 

  • Must attend meetings and after school activities.
  • Members must be in good Academic standing (passing) and in Good Behavior Standing both in and out of school 
  • Participates in the outside club events.
  • Be respectful and mindful to other members.
  • Act appropriately with younger club members.
  • Communicate when needed to. 
  • Have to wear the club shirt when on a club event or field trip.
