Students receive TREA scholarships

Haley Clapsaddle and Allison Lyon are both winners of Texas Rural Education Association student scholarships.

Haley was announced as one of 25 students selected for a $2,000 scholarship. Allison, one of 16 selected, received a $1,000 Service Award Scholarship from TREA.

Both Goliad High School students will be honored June 22-25 during a banquet at the Kalahari Resort and Convention Center in Round Rock.

This year, TREA awarded $66,000 in scholarships.

The association remains committed to helping rural Texas students reach their educational goals. Thanks to their generous sponsors, they were able to give scholarships to deserving students and keep advocating for education.
