Wallek signs to play baseball at ohn Melvin Christian University

Goliad High School senior Phin Wallek signed Wednesday to play baseball at John Melvin Christian University.

“John Melvin University isn't just getting a talented baseball player – they're getting a competitor, a leader, and a young man who understands that success comes from the daily grind,” said Coach Anthony Quintanilla during the signing ceremony at the Goliad Event Center. “When I first met Phin Wallek four years ago, what struck me wasn't just his natural talent – it was the fire in his eyes. That competitive spirit that coaches dream about finding in their players.
