Lone Star Governance - House Bill 3

What is Lone Star Governance?

Lone Star Governance is a FRAMEWORK that helps school boards stay focused on student outcomes. Here at Goliad ISD, we believe that students are our top priority. To align with our vision of being the model of excellence for success through tradition and innovation, we have adopted five academic goals to promote positive student outcomes. 

 

 

Early Literacy and Math Goals

Goal 1: The percentage of 3rd grade students scoring meets grade level or above on STAAR reading will increase from 34% to 50% by August 2024.

Goal 2: The percentage of 3rd grade students that score meets grade level or above on STAAR math will increase from 40% to 55% by August 2024.

 

CCMR Goal

Goal 3: The percentage of graduates that meet the criteria for CCMR will increase from 67% to 80% by October 2024.

 

GMS Math Goal

Goal 4: The percentage of GMS math students scoring meets grade level or above on the STAAR math test will increase from 32% to 36% by August of 2024.

 

English II Goal

Goal 5: The percentage of GHS students scoring meets grade level or above on the English 2 STAAR EOC will increase from 50% to 56% by August 2024.
