Tigerettes get eight events qualified for State track meet
Girls Score 110 points and finish second
Tigers and Tigerettes will be headed to State competition in track and field events following the recent regional competition.
“What a great meet for our Lady Tigerettes, finishing second out of 56 teams in the team race,” said Stacy Zamzow, coach. “What a weekend for Kyla Hill qualifying for State in all five of her events.
“She had a personal record in the Long Jump and 100 hurdles, and a personal best split leg on the 4x4 relay of 55.7.
“That brings her three-year total to 13 events qualified to the State meet.”
All three relays also qualified for the State meet.
“The 4x1 ran almost one second faster than they had run all year. The 4x2 ran a solid-State qualifying time. The 4x4 ran a season’s best by over two seconds, breaking the old Regional Record, but finishing a close second,” Zamzow said. “Ashley Wood finished no worse than fourth in all four of her events having personal records in three of them.
“Overall, it was a great weekend for the ladies.”
The State meet will be May 11th.
