JV Tigers win final game of season

Goliad JV defeated Mathis 5-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

Defense would provide the foundation for the solid win for Goliad as multiple Tigers made plays to backup the pitchers that night. 

D’Adrian Anderson, Tracer Schendel, Jakob Boyd, Conner Maroney, Landon Psenick and Gavin Hoefling each collected one hit to lead the Tigers.

This collection of hits would propel Goliad to a win in their last district game of the season.

“Congratulations on a good year for our young Tigers,” said coach Anthony Quintanilla. “There is lots of promising talent that will provide the means for future successes.”

The overall JV record is 9-8 and would go 5-3 in district play.

“Thank you all for your hard work, dedication, and to the parents thank you for your continued support,” the coach said.
