Goliad wins contest against Odem Owls

Goliad won its contest against the Odem Owls on Tuesday, 7-2.

The Tigers got on the board in the second inning when an error scored one run for Goliad.

Goliad Varsity Tigers tallied four runs in the fourth inning. The big inning was driven by a groundout by Colby Rosenquest and a double by Phin Wallek.

Wallek led the Tigers to victory on the hill. The pitcher went seven innings, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out six.

Leighton Wunsch, Kolton Duval, Wallek, Kamdyn Janak, and Rosenquest each managed one hit to lead Goliad.

“Thank you to all the educators who attended tonight’s game and were able to be recognized,” added coach Anthony Quintanilla. “It is truly special the job you do on a daily basis and is very much appreciated.”
