Goliad JV Tigers had everything working on Monday, winning big over Hallettsville JV White, 13-2.
The Tigers got things started in the first inning when Bryton Stoebner homered on his first pitch at bat, scoring three runs.
Garrett Kunkel earned the victory on the hill for Goliad. He lasted two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out two and walking zero. Conner Maroney and Gavin Hoefling entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Tracer Schendel, D’Adrian Tinney-Anderson, Stoebner and Landon Psenick each managed one hit to lead Goliad on the offensive side of things. Defensively Koltyn Russell held down the middle infield with two putouts and no errors.
“Congratulations on a great win, stay humble and continue the hard work,” said Anthony Quintanilla, head baseball coach.
