Goliad Tigers go 2-2 at Best of Bay tournament

The Goliad Tiger Baseball team went 2-2 this past weekend at the Best of the Bay tournament.

The Tigers would pick up their first two wins of the year at this Ingleside tournament.

Top tournament performers at the plate for Goliad were Barrett Garcia 3-6, Colby Rosenquest 5-12, Aramis Garza 2-6, Andrew Alonzo 3-10 and Kamdyn Janak 3-10.

Defensively, Colby Rosenquest in four innings pitched five strikeouts and had one earned run.

Phin Wallek in four innings pitched three strikeouts and had zero earned runs.

Leighton Wunsch in six innings pitched two strikeouts and had one earned run.

Cole Natho also had an outstanding driving catch to shut down an offensive hit. The Tigers will host their Week 3 tournament Thursday through Saturday. Everyone is invited to come out and watch the Tigers.

The Tigers Varsity team will play at 9 a.m. Thursday and at 11 a.m. on Friday. They will play again at 7 p.m. Saturday.
