GISD students, staff asked to wear blue for National Human Trafficking Awareness Day

All Goliad Independent School district staff and students are encouraged to wear blue on Jan. 11.

This is part of National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

To raise awareness of human trafficking, members of the Blue Campaign invite the public to take photos of themselves, friends, family and colleagues wearing blue clothing and share these on social media – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – along with using the #WearBlueDay hashtag.

Anyone can participate, all you need is a piece of blue clothing.

Blue Campaign is a national public awareness campaign designed to educate the public, law enforcement and other industry partners to recognize the indicators of human trafficking and how to appropriately respond to possible cases.
