Three Goliad High students lift to first place wins

Le’Verius Gage, Trevor Bennett and Aerianna Segura took home first place wins in their weight classes at Thursday’s powerlifting meeting in Goliad.

Segura lifted 1,130 pounds total. Gage lifted 1,650 pounds total and Bennet lifted 1,355 pounds total. Gage also won Best Lifter for the meet.

Girls

• Aerianna Segura – 1^st place – 220 weight class – 1130 total
• Jesielah McGilbra – 5^th place – 181 weight class – 650 total
• Ava Soliz – 7^th place – 148 weight class – 580 total

Boys 

• Le’Verius Gage – 1^st place - 308 weight class – 1,650 total
• Trevor Bennett – 1^st place – 198 weight class – 1,355 total
• Ruben Portillo – 2^nd place – 165 weight class – 965 total
• Justin Edison – 4^th place – 148 weight class – 1,010 total
• Byron Lewis – 5^th place – SHW weight class – 670 total.
