Tigerettes take first overall at St. Jospeh cross country match

The Goliad Tigerette varsity girls took home first place overall at the St. Joseph XC Invitational Cross Country match Saturday.

The team was led by Audrey Winstead, who came in fourth and Ashtyn Franke, who came in fifth. Olivia Strouhal, Julia Aleman, Daryn Schutz, Lily Knetl and Haley Clapsaddle rounded out by finishing in the top 30 for team points. 

The varsity boys finished sixth overall.

Gabriel Aguilar finished third.

Lila Hamilton and Allison Carbajal finished in the top 20 for the JV girls.

Next stop for the team is the Islander Splash on Saturday. On Oct. 1, Goliad is hosting a meet at Goliad State Park.
