JV Tiger teams score Thursday night victories

Both the blue and white Goliad Tiger junior varsity football teams scored victories Thursday night.

The Goliad Tiger Blue JV team went 2-0 by beating Poteet 45-0.

Lamont Franklin scored two touchdowns running and one interception.

Donavan Perry caught two touchdown passes from Cord Zamzow and Landon Mozisek scored one touchdown.

Ty Marek, Lamont Franklin and Joshua Valdez all scored on two-point plays.

D’adrian Tinney Anderson made all three of his extra points.

That same evening, the JV White Tigers traveled to Kenedy to take on the Lions.

Tracer Schendel led off the scoring with a three-yard touchdown. Dre'ton Martinez caught the two-point conversion to make the score 8-0.

Cole Ortman scored in the fourth quarter on a six-yard rush to make it 14-0 and seal the victory for the Tigers.

The defense played lights out, highlighted by Christian Fridley-Lewis, who had an interception in the second half.
